I visited Boston's new horrible modern "art" statue. Plus a career update. What in Tarnation?
A life update plus a laugh
Hello fellow Tarnations,
Last night I was out in Boston and realized I was close to the Boston Common. I couldn’t help myself. I had to see the new Martin Luther King Jr. statue that caused shockwaves in the Twitterverse. So I began my walk (in freezing rain) to “The Embrace.”
I have to say, it’s worse in person. The photos on the internet are bad enough, but in person, it’s so large you have an even harder time deciphering what the heck it is. Walking around it in person, I still can’t tell you why they went with this monstrosity over a beautiful statue of King’s actual embrace with Scott King. King deserves better.
My face says it all. I don’t recommend you visit it— or most modern “art” for that matter.
One final thing: I finished my first week at Fox News Digital this week on the Originals team.
I’ll be making original video content and writing, so give us a follow to keep up with this great team’s work. When I got started in media just seven years ago, I always wanted to work for Fox News, and now I am and producing video content—a dream come true.
All right, folks, that’s it from me. Until next time!
Sincerely,
Kassy Dillon
